In-Depth Yoga Study, Starts June 6

Have you been practicing yoga for a long time and wonder what's next? Do you want to bring the practices more fully into your life? Do you want to integrate pranayama, nutrition, and meditation into your daily practice? Do you want to independently maintain a thriving daily personal practice?

If so, this course is designed for you.

During this 10-week fully-online study, you will be supported as you build a personal practice that will serve you throughout your life. Within each week, basic yoga philosophy will be woven through the various studies and topics, particularly the 8 steps of Raja Yoga (the yoga sutras of Patanjali).

Each week, beginning on Monday, June 6, I will open the following topics:

1. Physical Body and Introduction to Asana Practice, Yamas & Niyamas

2. 12 Basic Yoga Postures, Simple Vinyasa Flows, Asanas

3. Subtle Body, Introduction to Chakras and Nadis

4. Building Resilience through the Subtle Body

5. Benefits of Asana Practice: Physical, Mental, Pranic

6. Pranayama: Mental and Physical Aspects of Yogic Breathing

7. Restorative Yoga and Relaxation Techniques

8. Mindfulness Practices

9. Nutrition to Support Your Practice

10. Meditation, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, Samadhi

Throughout the 10-weeks, you are encouraged to meet with me on Zoom for an hour each week to discuss the practices and explore any questions you may have.

We will also build an online community through discussion boards and community pages where we can share practices and resources.

$849 includes the 10-week asynchronous online course and a private session each week scheduled at your convenience. Payment can be made in two installments: the first before the course begins and the second before week 6.

Please email me with any questions at focusedyogajs@gmail.com.
